Cheesy Spinach Dip is always an easy go to appetizer for all occasions. You can always say that veggies are included in this dish if your guests feel guilty enjoying the creamy and gooey cheese and crispy bread.

What ingredients will I need for this Recipe?

Vegetable: Spinach frozen and fresh. 10 oz. frozen spinach, 1 bag of fresh baby spinach
Filling Ingredients: Will use cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise. ½ cup sour cream, ¼ cup of mayonnaise
Cheese: 8-10 oz. cream cheese, 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, Â½ cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
Seasoning: The salt and pepper can be to taste.  1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, Â½ tsp smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Bread: Choose your favorite crusty bread, I used 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
Cooking pan: Large skillet or cast iron pan

How to Make this Recipe

For this recipe, I recommend to use frozen spinach because it is pre-chopped and will save money for this recipe.
First, thaw and drain frozen spinach and drain with a towel to remove access water from frozen spinach.
Chop the fresh baby spinach and to a large bowl with frozen spinach and mix together.
Combine all shredded cheese in a bowl. Leave half of mozzarella to the side.
Add cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo in a separate bowl and blend well to make soft. Add 1/4 of of the seasonings to mixture and mix.
Pre heat oven to 375 F
Add spinach and half of shredded cheese to cream mixture and stir. Add more seasoning and cheese if needed.
Add spinach mixture to large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook mixture and stir until cheese has melted and smooth.  Remove from heat and add mozzarella cheese on top.
Place skillet on large baking dish and in oven. Cover with foil. Bake for 15 minutes covered and 10-15 more minutes uncovered until cheese melts on top.
