This delicious and simple recipe is inspired by my desire to find other ways to eat cauliflower. You may feel like I do when it comes to cauliflower or maybe not, but I know this recipe can be served as a side dish in your weekly dinner menu and as an appetizer.

Spicy Fried Cauliflower is crispy with a hint of spice and smoky flavor from the hot sauce, cayenne, smoked paprika.  Can be eaten as a snack, side dish or appetizer.

What ingredients will I need for this Recipe?

Cauliflower: I large head
Cooking oil: Vegetable oil (for frying)
Seasoning: 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp black pepper,
1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Sauce: Will add to wet and dry batter, 4 tbsp. of hot sauce
Wet Batter: 1 cup of almond milk (sweetened or unsweetened), 1/2 cup flour, 2 tbsp. of hot sauce
Dry Batter: 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup corn starch, 2 tbsp. of hot sauce

How to make this Recipe?

Cut head of cauliflower into florets. Clean and rinse. Thoroughly pat florets dry.
Combine seasonings in a bowl.  Add cauliflower to a large bowl and add half of seasonings and hot sauce to cauliflower and coat all florets.
First, combine wet batter ingredients and add to another large bowl and whisk together. Next, combine dry batter ingredients, hot sauce and seasonings to a large bowl and blend.  Add oil to large skillet, enough oil to cover half of cauliflower and get heat to 350°F.
One at time, dip cauliflower in wet batter and coat each piece well. Shake off excess. Next, dip each piece into dry batter and shake off excess flour. Place on rack or plate.
Add each floret into skillet and fry until each piece is golden brown.
Drain cauliflower from oil and plate.
Enjoy with favorite sauce. I love a spicy aioli sauce.
